Sean Davenport
Sean has a calm methodical approach to his work, often adding minute detail upon reflection. Sean's bold application of colour is adventurous and precise. Sean's naïve style is meticulously executed with precise cataloguing and organizing of large quantities of information. The succinct format is reflected in Sean's own work: evident in his ability to capture complex ideas and movement in minute detail.Sean Davenport has been employed at Monte Lupo since leaving school in 2000. Sean father Lee Davenport could not believe their luck when a position was available for Sean at Monte Lupo once he had completed school. Sean's family is still very happy about Sean being employed at Monte Lupo, as he enjoys working on a part-time basis. On the day's Sean is not working he spends time driving around looking at suburbs and no through roads, as well as making bush walking tracks on the family property.
Driving is one of Sean's major achievements of late as he now has more independence and freedom to go exploring every afternoon after work. According to Lee Davenport Sean has always been very determined when he puts his mind to something, like getting his drivers license and learning to communicate. In the earlier years Lee developed a computer program, based on phonics and a behavior method of teacher to teach Sean how words fit together and communicate. Sean now loves talking and text messaging.
Sean's family has always been involved in the arts industry through his Grandmothers involvement in the Arts Council. Sean's family has always been extremely supportive and are very proud of his art achievements. Sean has always been a talented artist with a very good observation skill that enables him to capture unique details in a very distinctive style.
Sean's artwork is consistently sold through the Museum of Brisbane and the Monte Lupo shop. Sean currently has several ranges available, his Cityscape, Monsters and Hunderwieser. However Sean continues to gain inspiration from his personal experiences, driving, garden, jumping on the trampoline and animals, these are just a few of Sean's passions.
Monte Lupo is extremely lucky to have Sean as one of our artists and Sean is a valued team member of Monte Lupo
